Which to choose
Pick Raindrop or pick us. Here’s when.
Where they’re better
Choose Raindrop if…
Raindrop is exceptional at being a library. If your goal is a searchable knowledge base, use Raindrop.
- You want organization. Nested collections, tags and a powerful search engine. We have no folders and no tags — we avoid organizing on purpose, because it becomes a chore.
- You highlight and annotate. Raindrop supports highlights and notes on what you save. We don’t.
- You need a permanent copy. On its paid tier, Raindrop keeps a copy of the page, so it survives if the original goes offline.
- You want native apps everywhere. Raindrop has apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and Windows. We’re a web app and a Chrome extension.
Where we’re different
Choose My Minute Mix if…
Our whole focus is getting you to actually read what you saved when you finally have a moment.
- You want to know how long things take. Raindrop doesn’t show reading time or video length on bookmarks. We measure it automatically when you save a link.
- You want the Mix. With 15 minutes on a train platform, Raindrop shows you 500 links. We hand you one mix — say, an 11-minute video and a 4-minute article — sized to the time you have.
- You want less guilt. Raindrop’s collection view is built for browsing everything you’ve filed. A mix pulls out only what fits right now.
