Every app makes a trade-off.
Here’s ours, honestly.

Some tools optimize for folders, highlights or a beautiful reader. My Minute Mix optimizes for one thing: finishing what you saved in the minutes you actually have.

Where we’re different. Where they’re better.

A comparison where we win every row would be an ad. Here’s both columns.

What we do differently

Built around your minutes

  • Minutes first. Pick 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes (or Custom) and get a mix that fits, built from what you already saved.
  • Length measured on save. Reading time for articles, runtime for YouTube videos — so the mix knows what fits. Long videos split into creator chapters or 5-minute parts, with resume.
  • One budget for every format. Articles, YouTube videos and threads share the same time budget. Podcast episodes are timed from the length Spotify, Apple or SoundCloud publish, when they publish one.
  • Free, no paid tier. No trial clock, no card, and no AI running over your saves.
  • No folders, on purpose. Nothing to file when you save. A library with All · Videos · Articles · Audio · Completed tabs and ⌘K search is the whole system.
Where others are ahead

What we don’t do (yet)

  • A reader view. We have none — saved items open on the original site. Instapaper, Matter, Readwise Reader and GoodLinks all strip the clutter.
  • Offline reading. We need a connection. Several readers cache the full text for planes and tunnels.
  • Highlights and notes. We have no highlights, so nothing to export to Obsidian or Notion. Readwise Reader is built around it.
  • Native mobile apps. We’re a web app plus a Chrome extension. There’s no iOS app, and Android share-sheet saving is coming soon.
  • Export and tags. Neither exists here yet. You can import a Pocket, Instapaper, Raindrop or browser-bookmarks export, but you can’t download your library or tag what’s in it.
