Made for the minutes you actually have.
Not someday.
My Minute Mix is a read-it-later app that knows how long things take — so when you have a gap, it hands you something that fits it.
Saving is easy. Finishing is the part nobody built for.
Everything worth your attention arrives at the wrong moment. An essay shared at midnight, a conference talk, a thread worth rereading. Each one gets saved with the same quiet promise: later.
Later rarely comes. Not for lack of discipline — because saving apps are very good at storing things and indifferent to whether you finish any of them. You open the list, see ninety items with no sense of what fits the eleven minutes in front of you, and close it again.
My Minute Mix asks a better question. Answering it means knowing how long everything takes, and mixing formats — because twenty minutes might be one long read, or a video and two threads. More on why reading lists keep growing.
My Minute Mix was founded and created by Abhinav Thakur.
You have twenty minutes. What can you actually finish?
Restraint is part of the design. Here’s the full list.
What it does
- Saves articles, YouTube videos, podcasts, and Reddit or X threads
- Measures reading time and video length the moment you save
- Builds a mix for 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes — or a custom length
- Splits long YouTube videos into creator chapters or 5-minute parts, and remembers where you stopped
- Saves from Chrome in the background — from the right-click menu or with Alt+Shift+S
- Imports your Pocket, Instapaper, Raindrop or browser-bookmarks export — up to 2,000 links at a time
- Shares a mix by public link, if you choose — and stops sharing when you say
What it leaves out
- No reader mode. Opening a save takes you to the original, exactly as its publisher made it.
- No AI. Mixes are composed by time, not by a model.
- No read-aloud. Podcasts you save are podcasts; articles are not read aloud.
- No export. Not yet. You can import links, but there’s no way to download your library.
- No highlights or tags. The point is finishing, not filing.
- No iOS app. The web app works in your phone’s browser.
- Android share sheet. Coming soon — not available today.
Some of these may arrive one day. Until they do, you won’t read about them here.
Six rules the crew lives by. They decide what gets built.
Time comes first.
Every save gets a length. Every mix starts from the minutes you have, not the size of your pile.
The original, as published.
No reader view rewriting the page. You read and watch things the way their makers built them.
Arithmetic, not AI.
Lengths come from word counts and video durations. Nothing you save is summarized or rewritten.
Free, without the asterisk.
No card, no trial timer, and no feature held back to push you toward an upgrade.
Private unless you share.
Your library has no public profile. A mix only becomes public when you share its link.
Only say what’s true.
Every claim on this site is one the product keeps. If it isn’t built, you won’t read about it here.
Promises with a paper trail. They’re in the privacy policy.
Never sold.
Your personal information is not sold. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
Never trained on.
Nothing you save is sent to an AI provider or used to train a model.
No marketing list.
The only email you’ll get is about your account. There’s nothing to unsubscribe from.
Saving and mixing stay free.
If a paid tier ever arrives, it will be for things that genuinely cost money to run.
Free, with no card and no trial timer. How pricing works
