How we count

We read the badges. You keep the playlist.

Nothing is fetched from YouTube. The tool only reads the text you give it.

  1. 01

    Find the duration badges

Every M:SS, MM:SS or H:MM:SS is a candidate. Dates and clock times like “2:30 PM” are ignored, and when a title has a colon in it, the last time on the line wins.

  2. 02

    Add them up

Every badge becomes seconds and they are summed. The faster speeds are that total divided by 1.25, 1.5 and 2.

  3. 03

    Links only? We estimate

Bare YouTube links or a Takeout CSV carry no durations, so each video is counted as 10 minutes — and the result is marked as an estimate.

For exact numbers, paste the page text, not the links. The badges are in the text when you copy the whole playlist page.
In My Minute Mix

Save the videos instead.
We’ll time them.

Video length is measured when you save a YouTube video to My Minute Mix. Long ones are split into the creator’s chapters or 5-minute parts, with resume — so a two-hour talk gets watched a piece at a time.

  • Reading time and video length are measured when you save
  • Long YouTube videos split into creator chapters or 5-minute parts, with resume
  • Podcast episodes are timed from the length Spotify, Apple or SoundCloud publish, when they publish one
  • Free, no paid tier. No AI on your saves
